Barnard's Galaxy (NGC6822)and The Little Gem Nebula (NGC6818)
This object is a bit too faint to be well captured by my modest 120mm refractor. The Little Gem is the small blue-white, featureless oval near the right edge of the image.
Nirvana, August 17, 2010, 12:15 - 1:15 AM; T=+13 to +12 C, good sky transparency but some fog at ground level. 4x15 min, Orion Starshoot on 120mm refractor; no filters; autoguided.
