Trifid (M20) and Lagoon (M8) nebulae in H alpha

This is the first 'keeper' hydrogen alpha image with the Parsec camera. Seeing was abysmal (1/5) this night but the transparency (4/5) and altitude (420m) were much more important for getting good images with the TV-85. This will be combined with OIII and LRGB data when I obtain it.

South of Foymount, Ontario; June 3, 2011, 12:15-3:30 AM; seeing terrible but transparency excellent. Parsec 8300M with H-alpha filter on TV-85; guided; 22x500s exposures.
