Double Cluster in Perseus: first light with the 150mm Esprit

This is the first image with the 5-element 150mm apochromatic Esprit refractor. Captured with a Canon XSi (which never yields rich color) from my heavily light-polluted back yard with no filter (which forces strong background corrections), I nevertheless find the image impressive for its fine detail and remarkable field flatness.

My back yard, December 20 2011, 6-7 PM; T=-10 C, seeing fair and transparency average. Canon XSi on 150mm with field flattener, no filter; autoguided, 25x100s.
