East side of Mare Imbrium

Captured on the same night I obtained this detailed mosaic of the terminator of the waning half-moon. There are too many incredible features to mention in this partial image of the most dramatic feature of the moon, which is an early, lava-filled impact basin. But....it extends from crater Plato in the north, to Rima Hyginus in the south. A three-image mosaic from full-frame videos (each image a stack of about 110 video frames, the best 15% of each video).

my back yard; September 26, 2013, 3-5:30 AM; seeing exceptionally good with average transparency. Celestron NI5 on 150mm Esprit with 2X Powermate; approx. 1/100 s exposures; no filters.
